HISTORY OF EAST JONES ELEMENTARY East Jones Elementary School opened its doors for the first time in August of 1999. Through state MAEP funding, the rural schools of Myrick, Powers, and Sandersville consolidated and formed what is now known as East Jones Elementary. With state of the art technology, East Jones Elementary strives to prepare students for a challenging and successful future. The school serves grades Pre-K-6.
